A couple encountered my work at a solo exhibition in Wouw, sparking the idea to commission an artwork of their own house.
The house and garden constitute an integral design created by the man, a professional architect. The diagonal design optimizes the shape of the garden, making it appear much larger. The glass living room is an integral part of the garden, allowing one to literally immerse themselves in greenery. The diagonal element adds surprise to the house, offering beautiful perspectives into the garden. Geometric shapes, such as the triangle, square, and circle, contribute to a spatially balanced design that is even reflected in the furniture. The artwork needed to be as clear as the exceptionally bright house and garden.
That was the challenge we collectively sought to address. The artwork incorporates a blueprint, showcasing the top view of the house and garden, along with a distinctive facade. Various elements are easily distinguishable while maintaining a cohesive whole.
We had the idea to rotate the artwork by a quarter turn, further emphasizing the essence of the design.
