Hand-painted miniatures, such as those found in medieval Romanian manuscripts, can be incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed incorporating a detail from such a manuscript into this artwork. I combined the letters with a face created from several different sketches. There are also other elements and small details to discover, but it is up to the viewer to find their own meaning in them.
