Krobowa was known as the sage of the village, and she had the honorable duty of speaking with the Council of Elders, consulting the sacred stone on the mountain for life wisdom and guidance. Following this important consultation, the celebration in the village began, an age-old tradition marking the transition of young girls into womanhood.

The young girls were in the first phase of their initiation, seated on stools as a sign of their impending transformation. Krobowa led the main ceremony, during which the girls bathed in the tranquil stream that flowed beside the village. They returned in silence, a green leaf in their mouths symbolizing their vow of silence.

The actual period of instruction began in secluded huts, isolated from the outside world. The carefree existence without responsibilities was over, and the girls would be educated into becoming full-fledged women under the wise guidance of Krobowa, whose gray face and jet-black hair embodied the passing on of knowledge and traditions in the village.
