Thongarisha, an African man with a peculiar crooked mouth, a beard, striking blue eyes, and upright hair, was a figure that commanded respect and awe. The villagers held deep reverence for his strength and wisdom.

When allegations of witchcraft surfaced in the village, the three accused individuals humbly knelt beside a witch-stone heap, paying homage to the passing Thongarisha. According to the witch expulsion ritual, they then had to kneel on the stones, with Thongarisha protecting them.

He wore a magical belt adorned with potent items like bird parts, cowrie shells, and medicines to shield himself from negative forces. A small mirror warned him of danger, and a protective clay figurine was placed on his head as a shield against the supernatural.

Thongarisha led the ritual with determination and expertise, and the villagers looked up to him as a guardian against dark forces. His distinctive appearance made him an even more intriguing and respected figure in the village, where his presence brought calm and security in times of uncertainty.
